Today is the day: präziis. is live. After months of development with Swiss pilot customers, we are launching our new integration suite that brings together two worlds which, in many companies, have so far lived side by side — Abacus as the operational ERP backbone and Microsoft 365 as the digital workplace for collaboration, documents and communication.
präziis. is more than a connector. It is a Connected Digital Workplace — a continuous, data-driven bridge between master data in the ERP and the daily work in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
Why We Built präziis.
In our daily work as a Microsoft Partner and Abacus-savvy digital transformation provider, we keep seeing the same pattern at Swiss SMBs and mid-market organizations:
- Double-maintenance for every new project: An order is created in Abacus — and in parallel someone manually creates a Teams channel, a SharePoint folder, a file repository and possibly a Planner board. Four systems, four click paths, four sources of error.
- Structural chaos in SharePoint: Every department invents its own logic. Customers appear sometimes as folders, sometimes as sites, sometimes as libraries. Whoever searches rarely finds — and whoever finds rarely trusts the data.
- Permissions by gut feeling: Who has access to which project? Cleanly modeled in Abacus, often historically grown in Microsoft 365. Former employees frequently retain access for years.
- No single point of truth: Master data for customers, projects and people lives in multiple places — with all the well-known consequences for reporting, compliance and data quality.
präziis. tackles exactly this: Abacus remains the single point of truth, and Microsoft 365 is built on top of it — automatically and consistently.
What präziis. Actually Does
präziis. is a Swiss-built and Swiss-operated SaaS solution that acts as a secure intermediary between your Abacus installation and your Microsoft 365 tenant. At its core, the suite delivers four building blocks:
1. Automatic Provisioning of Teams and SharePoint Workspaces
Whenever a new customer, order or project is created in Abacus, präziis. provisions the matching Microsoft 365 structure in the background:
- a Microsoft Team with standardized channels (e.g. General, Documents, Time tracking, Billing),
- a SharePoint site with predefined library structure, metadata and views,
- a OneNote notebook and, optionally, a Planner plan for tasks,
- automatic memberships and permissions based on Abacus roles.
Naming conventions, templates, site designs — everything stays consistent because it no longer happens by hand.
2. Bidirectional Master Data Synchronization
Customers, suppliers, projects, orders and employees are synchronized in both directions. If accounting updates an address in Abacus, that change shows up minutes later in the corresponding SharePoint site columns, in the team name and in the metadata. When a project is archived in Abacus, präziis. archives the corresponding site and freezes its permissions — clean, traceable, audit-ready.
3. Structured Project and Order Management in Microsoft 365
Instead of a wild folder landscape, you get a documented, end-to-end project structure. Every project follows the same logic: contracts here, correspondence there, delivery documents in a defined place. Search, versioning, retention rules and Microsoft Purview classifications suddenly work, because the foundation is sound.
4. Central Dashboard for IT, Management and Project Leads
The präziis. dashboard shows at a glance which teams and sites originated from which Abacus objects, which synchronizations are running, where conflicts need to be resolved and who accessed what data when. For IT it means control, for management transparency, for project leads simply less work.
