The Challenge
AEW Energie AG manages over 200 properties – from residential blocks to commercial buildings to industrial facilities. Data collection for energy reporting, maintenance cycles, and cost evaluation was entirely analog: Excel spreadsheets, paper forms on-site, and scattered email communication.
A consolidated view of all buildings, unified KPIs, and timely evaluations were impossible. The energy management team wanted a digital, mobile solution that also works offline in basements or on rooftops.

Our Solution
We developed an integrated Power Platform solution: mobile Canvas Apps for offline data capture on-site (meter readings, maintenance logs, damage reports) with automatic sync when network is available. Power Automate processes the data, validates plausibility, and routes alerts to the facility team.
Power BI delivers real-time dashboards with energy consumption per building, comparison time series, and savings potential. All data flows centrally into a Dataverse.

The Result
Managing 200+ buildings is significantly more efficient and transparent. In the first year, 15% energy was saved – because the team had reliable comparison data across all properties for the first time.
Maintenance cycles are proactively managed, damage reports handled in real time. The energy management team works location-independently with the same data.
