The Challenge
The AEW Wärmebox programme grew quickly.
Each unit has its own installation status, maintenance schedule, and customer record – spread across separate lists with no shared data foundation.
Technicians coordinated deployments by phone, status updates landed in the inbox of the back-office team.
With over 200 active units, no reliable overview was possible any more.
Scheduled service was missed, and customer data was stored inconsistently across multiple locations.

Our Solution
We built a Power Platform solution with Dataverse as the central data layer. A Canvas App gives technicians mobile access to installation and service orders – including offline access on site.
Power Automate automatically generates service orders based on the maintenance schedule, notifies customers before planned visits, and writes status updates directly into Dataverse. The back-office team manages all units through a Model Driven App with a full installation and service history.

The Result
Over 200 Wärmebox units managed centrally. No scheduled service order is missed. Response time for unplanned outages dropped by around 30%, because technicians have all relevant data directly on their device.
