The Challenge
Kwaxx runs a payroll service for over 100 corporate clients. The organically grown file server with about 2 TB of data had unclear permissions, multiple copies of files, and no basis for mobile work or the planned client portal.

Our Solution
We classified all 2 TB (client-related, internal, general), then designed a clean information architecture with dedicated hub sites, sensitivity labels, and a permission model based on Microsoft 365 Groups. Migration ran in waves using Migration Manager with delta syncs and cut-over on weekends.

The Result
2 TB migrated without data loss and without interrupting the payroll service. Search times shorter, permissions transparently documented, sensitive payroll data subject to automated retention and deletion rules.
