The Challenge
Historically grown structures, broadly distributed permissions, and inconsistently enforced security policies met a rising threat landscape. Phishing, identity attacks, token theft – a real risk, especially around sensitive research and correspondence data.

Our Solution
We rolled out a security baseline in several phases: identity security with Entra ID, mandatory MFA across the board with phishing-resistant methods for privileged accounts, Conditional Access policies along zero-trust principles, a tenant security baseline aligned with Microsoft best practices, Defender for Office 365, and sensitivity labels for sensitive content.

The Result
SAGW has 100% MFA coverage, a significantly improved Secure Score, and a clear zero-trust posture. Phishing attempts are reliably blocked, and new staff accounts are set up against a single, secure standard.
