The Challenge
Steelco-Belimed is a globally active medical technology company with employees across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Internal communication relied on email chains and country-specific local systems, creating severe information silos.
An employee in Germany had no visibility into product updates from the Italian manufacturing team. HR policies were published on local intranets with no central repository.
Knowledge about cleaning and sterilization regulations – critical for a medical device company – was fragmented across regional sites. New employees in remote locations struggled to find basic information.
The leadership recognized that effective global collaboration required a unified digital workplace.

Our Solution
We are building a modern SharePoint intranet as the central communication and collaboration hub for Steelco-Belimed worldwide. The platform features a multilingual news portal with automatic language detection and translation, ensuring every employee receives company news in their preferred language.
Microsoft Teams integration connects location-based communication channels with the central intranet, so discussions in regional Teams automatically surface relevant news. Personalized start pages show each employee role-specific content: production staff see safety updates, sales teams see product launches, and R&D sees innovation news.
A global employee directory with skills tagging makes it easy to find expertise across the organization. The intranet is built on SharePoint hub architecture with regional sub-sites that maintain local flavor while feeding into the global experience.

The Result
This project is in active development with phased rollout planned across Steelco-Belimed's global sites.
The platform architecture is complete, core content migration is underway, and pilot users in three countries are already accessing the new intranet.
Upon full completion, all employees worldwide will be connected through a unified platform that breaks down information silos and establishes Steelco-Belimed as a digitally connected global medical technology leader.
